Plantation 5 Year is distilled in Barbados, where it is aged in ex-bourbon barrels for three to four years before being shipped to France to age for another one to two years in Ferrand Cognac casks.
The result is a subtle and tropical Barbadian-style rum, excellent for aperitifs or classic cocktails like the Mai Tai.
